Kapušiansky Castle

Local nameKapušiansky hrad
LocationKapušany, Slovakia

Kapušiansky Castle once belonged to a noble family which built it around the 15th century. It had a great strategic position, but despite that it got conquered by František II Rákoci who let it set on fire. It's now currently a quite nice ruin with a hiking trail leading up to them from the village Kapušany. The trail is marked green and there are two ways to go, one of them is slightly more difficult than the other.
