The imposing light performance was awarded the Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show by the Guinness World Records. It is a beautiful laser show with music that features 47 buildings located on the Hong Kong Island and on the Kowloon Peninsula. The show lasts about 15 minutes and it is divided into five scenes, each celebrating a different aspect of Hong Kong culture. The scenes are (respectively): Awakening, Energy, Heritage, Partnership and Celebration. The best places from where to watch the show are: Avenue of the Stars, Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade (in Kowloon) or from the ferries cruising the Victoria Harbour. Please note that the show might be postponed or even cancelled in case of rainstorm or cyclone threats.
The shows starts daily at 8 p.m. The best viewing locations of the spectacle are along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront between the Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the promenade at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wanchai, and from sightseeing ferries in the Victoria Harbour.
When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.3 or above or Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued at or after 3 p.m. on the show day, the show will be suspended. No show will be staged even if the signal is removed before 8 p.m. on that day. The show may also be suspended in emergencies without prior notice.
