The Big Chicken Statue is one of those curiosities in Vietnam's that you shouldn't miss, not because of the statue itself, but because of the story that's behind it and the village in which it stands. Both the story and the village offer a truly local experience, where you get to see the traditional way of life, farming and an interesting structure of society.
