Campiglia Marittima is a comune in the Province of Livorno in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 90 kilometres southwest of Florence and about 60 kilometres southeast of Livorno.
Its toponym has been attested for the first time in 1004 as Campiglia and derives from the Latin campus. In 1862 the word marittima was added to underline its belonging to the Maremma, the area washed by Tyrrhenian Sea.
