Capuchin Monastery

Local nameKlášter kapucínů
LocationBrno, Czechia

Not for the faint of heart - the monastery is famous for its crypt that is home to dozens of mummified monks.

Capuchin church has a long history in Brno, but their order has almost been wiped out during the times of communism. Only thanks to the 1989 revolution, Capuchin monasteries (including this one) could start working again. To this day, there are a few monks who live and preach here.
