Commissioned by Queen Maria I of Portugal and built in 1790, this large basilica is an interesting mix of Baroque and Neoclassical architectures. This church is worth visiting for its exquisite front facade and pink and black marble patterns in the interior!
The dome is accessible and it offers splendid views of the city.
