Former Customs House

Local nameMauthalle
LocationNuremberg, Germany

This imposing medieval building hides a restaurant in its cellars. If you have the spare time, pay it a visit.

Originally, the Mauthalle served as a customs house. It was built in the Middle Ages, and although the Second World War nearly saw it destroyed, there are still some parts of it that endured intact till today. Just look at the beautiful Gothic arches.
