Katz's Delicatessen

This restaurant, selling pastrami sandwiches and hot dogs, is the best deli in New York, according to Zagats. It is also a favourite spot for filmmakers, featuring in multiple television shows as well as many movies. You may remember it from the 1989 film When Harry Met Sally, or from the 2007 movie Enchanted. It is also frequently visited by celebrities, pictures of which you can see on the restaurant's walls.

The deli, opened in 1888, builds on an excellent relationship with the local community as well as on the quality of their food. The meat for the sandwiches is prepared without chemicals or any additives and takes 30 days to "cure" before it can be served.
