Keflavík International Airport

The main international airport of Reykjavík and Iceland is located 50 km from Reykjavík that has its own airport for domestic flights. Although this split might cause some confusion, Keflavik Airport is fairly small to host all flights. It gained prestige in the last few years and is getting expanded.

There's only one terminal which serves international flights. The terminal is quite small, so there are only a few restaurants and shops, most of which are open according to the flight schedule. There is also only one lounge with limited access and no sleeping space right at the airport, so it’s not recommended to stay the night. It does offer playing areas for kids though and good connection to hotels and Reykjavík.
