Located 7 km from the centre of Lisbon, Aeroporto de Lisboa is one of the largest airports in Western Europe. The airport is the main gateway to Portugal.
It features two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 caters for most airlines, including flights to non-Schengen destinations. Terminal 2 is used primarily by low-cost carriers. Since the majority of flights departs from Terminal 1, the building is much better facilitated and offers more services. There is a free shuttle bus between the terminals.
