Neptune Fountain

Installed towards the end of the 18th century, this fountain was commissioned by Maria Theresa. The imposing marble structure depicts not only the god of the sea, Neptune, but also Thetis asking him to favour her son Achilles. It also features four tritons - half-man, half-fish figures.
