Ossett is a market town within the City of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is situated between Dewsbury to the west, and Wakefield to the east. At the 2011 Census, the population was 21,231. Ossett forms part of the Heavy Woollen District.
