One of the most prominent ports in the Mediterranean is also the largest port in Catalonia and the third largest container port in Spain. The port features seven cruise terminals, nine terminals in total.

Ferries connecting Barcelona and the Balearic Islands usually leave from Sant Bertrand Terminal. Tourist buses, as well as shuttle buses, have several stops near the cruise terminals. The shuttle bus goes regularly between the monument of Christopher Columbus and the port.
