This famous flea market has to be seen to be believed. One of the biggest flea markets in Europe, El Rastro is located in the historical part of the city. Often mentioned in songs and literature, this place is a must if you want to feel like a real Madrileño.
There are dozens of stalls selling just about everything and attracting thousands of visitors every Sunday. Even though you can encounter both new and second-hand products in the market, most of them are local and handmade, making up for a one of a kind gift or souvenir.
