Saqqara is an area that once used to serve as a burial site for the nearby city of Memphis. This necropolis is worth visiting not only for the pyramids, but also for the tombs and ruins scattered around.
Not as popular and renowned as Giza, this sight should not be that crowded. Also, be aware that Saqqara is not facilitated.
