Cross the river Pegnitz and you will reach the island Trödelmarkt. Its highlight? The fascinating flea market at its heart. Notice the long rows of narrow picturesque houses -
although they look old, most of them are 20th century reconstructions.
The island has a long history, with the earliest documents referring to it dated to the 14th century.
