Named after John Foster Dulles, the 52nd Secretary of State. Located about 26 miles (42 km) west of downtown Washington, D.C.

The airport has four runways, one main terminal (serving only Frontier Airlines and Silver Airways) and two midfield terminals. Concourses C/D are used for United Airlines flights.

A convenient way of getting to the airport by public transportation is using Metrobus. The line is called Express Airport and is numbered 5A.
