Chini Ka Rauza

Local nameChini Ka Rauza
LocationAgra, India

This 17th-century tomb is the final resting place of Afzal Khan, a minister of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.

Although hidden away from the busiest tourist areas, at the bank of river Yamuna, this beautiful monument is definitely worth the extra trip.

It is built in a unique architectural style that combines Mughal and Persian influences. Notice the colorful glazed tiles that are decorating its walls - this tomb is the oldest building in India to be adorned with them.
