One of three Soviet memorials in the city, this one is situated in the Treptower Park. Built in 1949, it pays tribute to Soviet soldiers who were killed during the Battle of Berlin - 7000 of them are buried here. This vast memorial is centred around a statue of a grieving woman. There is also a mausoleum with a sculpture of a Soviet soldier.
