Founded in 211 AD, this magnificent shrine is dedicated to three deities protecting the nation, sea voyagers and celebrating waka poetry. The complex is architecturally interesting as it shows Shinto style before it was influenced by Chinese style. Be sure to marvel at the picturesque Taiko-bashi Bridge, spanning over a pond.
