Dating back to 1807, the construction of the temple was started by King Rama I and finished 40 years later by King Rama III.

It boasts beautiful murals, Chinese pagodas, plenty of Buddha images and the Monument of King Rama VIII which contains the urn with his ashes. There is also the Giant Chinese swing for Brahmin ceremonies in front of the temple.
