愛宕神社

Dedicated to the god Atago, the shrine dates back to 72 AD when it was known as Washio Shrine. The present temple was built in the 17th century and attracts plenty of visitors especially on New Year's Day when a festival takes place here. A good time to visit is also during the cherry blossom festival in April or the fire festival on December 5.
