The Church of the Light is the main chapel of the Ibaraki Kasugaoka Church, a member church of the United Church of Christ in Japan. It was built in 1989, in the city of Ibaraki, Osaka Prefecture.

This building is one of the most famous designs of Japanese architect Tadao Ando.

In 1999, the main building was extended with the addition of a Sunday School.

Opening hours

The church can be visited only on pre-scheduled day. Reservation one month in advance is necessary. Walk-ins are not welcomed.
The hours for visiting: 1:30 pm - 4 pm

Sunday worship starts at 10:30 pm. Please, note that although visitors are welcomed to join the Sunday worship, due to the capacity of the place even in such case, reservations are required.
