This beautiful memorial commemorates Queen Victoria. It was designed and built by Sir Thomas Brock between 1911 and 1924.

The central arch of the memorial is made of Pentelic marble and boasts a gilded bronze Winged Victory at the top. Below are two statues representing Constancy and Courage and two eagles depicting Empire. Below these, facing the Mall, there is a gold-plated statue of Queen Victoria. The monument is also adorned with bronze figures of lions representing Peace, Progress, Agriculture, and Manufacture.
