Plaza Mayor

Originally housing the offices of inquisition, the Plaza Mayor de Palma is now the hub of the old town.

This huge square is surrounded by fascinating old buildings. Dotted around the edge of the square is a good selection of bars and restaurants where you can have a drink and just sit and watch the world go by.

You will also find a good number of galleries here as this is also known as the “artists quarter”. Street performers and mime artists will amaze and entertain you. On top of this there is a weekly market.
