Consecrated in 1253, this important pilgrimage site is not only the main church of the Franciscan order but also a splendid architectural gem. Marvel at early Gothic and Romanesque features of the church, as well as beautiful medieval frescoes adorning the interior of the basilica. Be sure to also take a look at the friary and the crypt.
