Montserrat Mountain

The world-known mountain range with several peaks is a place where many abbeys are located. The Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat boasts the statue of the Black Madonna, patron saint of Catalonia. The museum of the monastery shows works by Dalí, El Greco or Monet. There are also liturgical and archaeological exhibits.

Enjoy the picturesque views from the top of the Montserrat mountain - you can either hike there from the monastery or take a funicular. Take one of the many hiking trails around the nature park - they are well marked, so don't worry about getting lost.
