Known among the locals as the Peak, it is the highest mountain on Hong Kong island. Being 552 meters tall, it offers stunning views of the city. The British governors used to have their mansions built in this area and even today the residential lands on Victoria Peak are among the most expensive ones in the world.
You can get there by tram but the queues of tourists waiting for their tickets are usually quite long. The best times of the day for a visit are sunrise and sunset when the view is all the more imposing. Beware that you will spend some time queuing even on the way back because the number of tram seats is limited.
There are two shopping centers at the Peak – Peak Galleria and Peak Tower - here you can get some food, do some shopping or even go to a cinema.

The Peak Tram departs every 10 to 15 minutes 7 am - midnight.
Admission to the Peak Tram Historical Gallery is free for Peak Tram passengers at Lower Terminus.
