Harpa Conference & Concert Center

Local nameHarpa
LocationMiðbær, Reykjavík, Iceland

A beautiful staple of modernist architecture and the centre of Iceland's cultural life. This stunning glass and steel building is a relatively new one - it was finished in 2011 after five years of construction works. It quickly became one of the gems of the city and it appeared on screen for its aesthetic quality (e.g. in Sense8) as well as described in novels.

Get a guided tour in English to learn more about this charming and imposing structure or visit one of the performances here. You won't be disappointed either way. Or just marvel at it from the outside and enjoy how it blends in with the harbour.
