The history of the museum dates back to the late 18th and early 19th century when Marie Tussaud began her career in wax models of important people of her period (such as Voltaire).
The museum has a luggage area where you can leave your belongings for a small fee. Families with small children should acknowledge that they must leave buggies and pushchairs at the entrance, without any fees.
