Honolulu 2 Day Trip Plan

The city of Honolulu is renowned for its white sandy beaches, deep blue water, its historical importance during the WWII and recently also as the birthplace of Barack Obama. The Waikiki Beach gets crowded during the day, so head to the Ala Moana Park where you can find vsome great beaches to chill. History buffs will appreciate war memorials scattered all over the city.

Day 1

  • Aloha Tower

    Lighthouse and one of the most iconic Hawaiian landmarks. Built in the 1920s, it is still working in the present day.

  • Chinatown

    Make sure to explore this exciting neighbourhood full of restaurants, shops and alternative art galleries.

  • Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew

    Episcopal cathedral built in a revival of French Gothic style. Note the wonderful stained glass portal depicting European explorers.

  • Hawaii State Capitol

    The seat of Hawaiian government is an extraordinary building. Note the replicas of the Hawaii state seal above the doors and the statues.

  • Iolani Palace

    The building served as a royal palace until 1893 when it was transformed into a capitol building. Now houses museum of royal heritage.

  • Diamond Head Crater

    Natural landmark of Hawaii. It's volcanic origin is quite clear, now it belongs amongst the most popular tourist destinations.

Day 2

  • USS Bowfin Submarine Museum

    Apart from your typical military exhibition, the museum offers an opportunity to explore ship and submarine that took part in the WWII.

  • USS Arizona Memorial

    The memorial is peculiarly built at the site where the battleship Arizona has sunken. It is entirely dedicated to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

  • Battleship Missouri Memorial

    Get aboard and explore thoroughly the ship where General Douglas MacArthur declared the end of WWII.

  • Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor

    This museum will captivate not only aviation enthusiasts as it consists of WWII-era hangars housing rich variety of aircrafts.
