If you wish to learn something about Paris itself, you should come here. This museum chronicles the history of Paris from its origins to the present day. It is situated in two mansions from the 16th century. Sadly, it is now closed for renovation and will remain so till 2019.

Note: As of Apr 4, 2016, Le Peletier de Saint-Fargeau will be closed for renovation until the end of 2019.
The admission to the expositions is free, but a €5 donation is recommended to support the museum.
