The museum is set in a Neo-Renaissance building constructed for the Latin American Expo of 1929. It boasts a stunning display of archeological discoveries from the prehistoric and Roman periods, everything wonderfully preserved. Its main focus is the Roman period, but there are also exhibits from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age.
