Athens International Airport is viewed as one of the most user-friendly and modern airports. It’s located about 20 km to the east of central Athens though the route is 10 km longer due to surrounding hills. It serves Athens and the local region as an international airport.
It consists of one terminal and one satellite terminal. It has several levels, separated into Arrival, Departures and 2nd level. The airport has a variety of restaurants, most of which are open 24/7, a prayer room, a children’s play area, a post office and a pharmacy as well. There’s also a lot of options in terms of lounges though the airport lacks business facilities.
