This temple hasn't been restored and provides an authentic experience - perfect if you want some real exploring. The temple became one with the trees around it and it makes up for an exceptionally calm atmosphere. It is rarely visited by tourists. Combining Buddhist and Hinduist elements, trip to Beng Mealea Temple is a nice detour from Angkor, and it's definitely worth it.
