The European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, is a European research organization that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. Established in 1954, the organization is based in a northwest suburb of Geneva on the Franco–Swiss border, and has 22 member states. Israel is the only non-European country granted full membership.

Exhibitions:
1) Universe of Particles: will reopen on 19th Apr 2016.
Mon - Sat 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
(with occasional exceptions)

2) Microcosm:
Mon - Fri: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Sat: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Guided Tours:
CERN welcomes the pupils, students or general public and organizes guided tours. Depending on the size of your party, the following tours can be offered:
- Tours for pupils and students (minimum 12 participants and a maximum of 48 including teachers or accompagnying adults)
- Tours for groups (minimum 12 participants and a maximum of 48 including accompagnying persons)
- Tours for individuals and groups of maximum 11 participants
