The European Parliament is the legislative branch of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Together with the Council of the European Union, it adopts European legislation, normally on a proposal from the European Commission. The Parliament is composed of 705 members. You do not need to book the tours, just arrive at least 15 minutes before it starts. Tours are not offered during Brrussels plenary sessions (check the website calendar), office closing days and public holidays (Jul 21, Aug 15, Nov 1 and 2, Dec 26, Jan 3).
