George IV Bridge

Local nameGeorge IV Bridge
LocationEdinburgh, UK

Surrounded by bars and restaurants, this elevated street makes for a very fine dining spot. If you want to visit a unique restaurant, come to the Elephant House. J.K. Rowling loved this place and she used to sit here and write her stories.

If you fancy something a little bit more extravagant, stop by the Frankenstein Pub. The atmosphere there is truly mysterious with all the Gothic windows and skulls used as a decoration.

But there is more to this street than restaurants and bars. The street connects the Royal Mile and the National Museum of Scotland and the architecture of the buildings along the street is also impressive.
