Dating back to the 6th century, this shrine is devoted to the three daughters of Susano-o no Mikoto, Shinto god of seas and storms. It features one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region - its 16 meters high torii gate. The gate was built in the 19th century and at high tide, it appears to be "floating". The whole complex is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
