The chalet is an architectural pearl designed by Dušan Jurkovič at the beginning of the 20th century. It's named after a Czech writer, Alois Jirásek, because it was built at the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birth. Nowadays it is arguably the most beautiful lookout tower in the Hradec Králové region.
