If you have a sweet tooth, this small bakery, opened in 1996, is a must-visit for you. It has become something of a television favourite in the recent years, featuring in the famous television series Sex and the City, in the TV show Saturday Night Live, as well as in the movie Devil Wears Prada.
This particular shop is the first and oldest Magnolia Bakery, that started what today became an international chain of cupcake stores.
The Magnolia specializes in baking cupcakes, which are also its most popular products. It sells classic flavours of cupcakes, like vanilla or the famous red velvet, but you can also buy special cupcakes every day of the week and every new month, with flavours like the Hummingbird (banana, pineapple and pecan). In addition to that, the Magnolia also bakes cakes, pies, cookies, brownies and mini cheesecakes.
Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
