Part of the Smithsonian Institution, this is one of the oldest zoos in the country. It is not only home to more than 300 different species of animals but also wills to share knowledge about wildlife conservation. Be sure to check their daily program of animal feedings and training demonstrations and plan your visit accordingly.
The zoo is located in a walking distance from both Metro Bus and Metro Rail stops. The main entrance in on Connecticut Avenue.
