This jaw-dropping museum has a phenomenal collection. It is so large that it cannot be possibly explored in a single day. The building which houses the imposing museum is in itself worth visiting because it is a stunning piece of 19th-century architecture.
The museum is divided into four zones, each of them with a common theme. They allow visitors to find what they want to see very easily.
Follow the Red Zone if you're interested in geology. Learn about the history of the Earth and the forces that change it.
The Green Zone focuses on birds and fossils, while the Blue Zone is devoted to human biology, mammals, and dinosaurs. There is a model of a blue whale located here.
The Orange Zone allows you to explore nature in the Wildlife Garden and Darwin Centre.
The entrance to the museum is free. It is also very kids-friendly. There are many interactive multimedia features installed there and it is even allowed to touch most of the exhibits.
