Notting Hill

Even though this area is most famous for the film Notting Hill, it is still a rather posh district favoured by influential people, full of lovely Victorian houses.

This quarter is home to off-the-beaten-path museums and galleries, Portobello Road market, well-known theatres as well as many cafés and pubs. In other words, your Notting Hill experience will not be complete if you don't visit at least some of them. Either way, you can enjoy a nice stroll around the district, marvelling at the Victorian architecture and imagining what the life may have looked like in the past.

The borough is also the place where the annual Notting Hill Carnival, the biggest European street festival, takes place each August.
