The imposing house belonged to the famous Japanese actor Denjirō Ōkōchi (known mainly for his role in costume dramas). The whole complex consists of his residence, shrine and also a museum of Denjirō Ōkōchi. Come and see Kyoto from the mountain - it is especially imposing during autumn months when all the trees are beautifully colored.
