Old Library, which is a part of Trinity College, is the largest library in Ireland and is most famous for being home to the famous Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript of a Gospel book. This place is an absolute must-see for people interested in ancient books, journals and manuscripts.
One of the most interesting rooms in the library is its Long Room which houses the oldest books in the collection. This chamber is also lined by a series of marble busts of great philosophers and writers. Interestingly, the Long Room closely resembles the Jedi archives from the Star Wars series, but its creator claims that it is only accidental.
The opening hours may differ from library to library. Please check the website for further information.
