A former pig market, this place has come a long way into becoming what it is now. Currently, it is one of the most (if not the most) prominent location in Switzerland. The square accommodates plenty of banks, luxury boutiques, and hotels.
If you want to come here to do more than just sightsee, prepare your wallet because stores in this location can get pretty expensive. However, visiting the glorious Confiserie Sprüngli is an experience that can hardly be forgotten, if you are willing to invest into first-class chocolate, coffee or drinks.
You will have no problems getting here as Paradeplatz is a tram stop for lines 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13 and 17.
