Erected in 2012 on Queen Elisabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, this stunning piece of art commemorates the lives of 55,573 RAF pilots from Britain, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Poland and other Commonwealth countries.

The memorial was designed by Liam O'Connor and built of Portland stone. It features a bronze sculpture of seven pilots designed by the sculptor Philip Jackson.
