Formerly the main entrance into the Kremlin, the gate of this tower used to greet all kinds of visitors. All of them had to remove their hats when passing through as a sign of respect. Some legends say that if somebody failed to do so, the gate would make the hat fall off their head with the magical powers it possessed.
