According to a legend, this tiny cave served as a refuge for an Irish missionary St. Filan, who came here in the 7th century to convert locals to Christianity. When he realized he couldn't read in this dark cave, God made one of his arms glow.
No matter whether the story is true or not, the cave was later used by a neighbouring monastery as a smuggler's den and a prison for "witches".
It is now open to visitors - you just need to pick up a key to its gate at Cocoa Tree Café.
